This venerable Leyland Tiger and long time member of the preservation scene was new to the small Lancashire municipal in 09/1949. It is seen here on A685 Main Street, Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria, while operating a heritage service from Grand Prix Coaches, Brough, during the Cumbria Easter Rally on 30/03/2024. It is heading for either Kirkby Stephen(West) Station, or The Fat Lamb Country Inn, Ravenstonedale. Contrasting in livery and modernity behind is preserved Strathclyde's Buses, LA1204, XUS575S, an panoramic windowed Alexander AL bodied Leyland Atlantean AN68A/1R which was new to Greater Glasgow PTE(LA1204) in 10/1977. © Peter Steel 2024.
