The first in a batch of ten delivered to Northern in 06/1983, this immaculate preserved Metrobus is always well turned out. It is seen here, having made the journey from it's native North-East, on Millennium Promenade, Whitehaven, on 04/05/2024, during the first day of the 'Leyland National 52' celebrations that were organised by the Workington Transport Heritage Trust, to commemorate fifty-two years since the entry into service of the first National to be constructed at the Lillyhall plant that is situated near Workington. This event was organised after the successes of the 'Leyland National 50' and 'Leyland National 51' events. © Peter Steel 2024.
