Seen here in the Ulverston depot in late June or very early July in 1989 are these three Park Royal bodied Leyland Atlantean AN68/1R's. Ribble by this time was under control of Stagecoach Holdings, however, the Furness area operations had been recently transferred to Cumberland Motor Services however these vehicles remained under the ownership of Ribble just to confuse matters. Anyway, I digress, 1383, NRN383P, was new to Ribble in 02/1976, 1394, NRN394P, was new in 03/1976 and 1404, NRN404P was new in 04/1976!

The camera being a Praktica MTL3.

I would request, as with all my photos, that they are not copied or downloaded in any way, shape or form. © Peter Steel 1989.

This Atherton based Fleetline was new to the then Greater Manchester Transport owned Lancashire United(586), in 03/1980 and is seen here at Bolton Bus Station in July 1982. It is seen in the company of Bolton based 7076, WBN954L, a Park Royal bodied Leyland Atlantean AN68/1R, new to SELNEC in 09/1972. Were these the first of the Manchester 'Standards'?(See comments below). My first thoughts were right.

The film used was Agfa Colourslide with the camera being a Praktica MTL3.
