A Merseyside 'Standard', if they were ever known as that, this smart Alexander bodied Atlantean was new to Merseyside PTE(1979), in 08/1982. Allocated to Southport during its career, it has been restored to a high standard in the later MTL Southport livery. It is seen here at Glyndyfrdwy Station, Wales, when on display at the Llangollen Railway Classic Transport Weekend, on 07/07/2024. Alongside, and contrasting in more mays than one, is preserved Eastbourne Corporation Transport, 75, BJK675D, an East Lancs bodied Leyland Titan PD2A/30. New to Eastbourne, in 03/1966, this smart Titan PD2 is fitted out as a mobile home. © Peter Steel 2024.
