Sadly, it's journeys end from a wonderful 14-night Western Med. Cruise aboard P&O Cruises Oceana - IMO: 9169550. The luggage is being transferred from the ship, in the larger Fork-Lift to the holding area in the smaller Fork-Lift at the Mayflower Cruise Terminal, Southampton, on 31/08/2014.

Oceana had left La Coruna, Spain, two days earlier and had operated on a Southampton - Cartagena - Barcelona - Monte Carlo - Civitavecchia - Alghero - Gibraltar - La Coruna - Southampton, cruise.

Oceana was built in 2000 by Fincantieri, Monfalcone, Italy and was originally known as Ocean Princess operating for P&O Cruises - Princess Cruises from 2000-3. Registered in Hamilton, Bermuda, she has a GTW of 77,499, has eleven passenger accessible decks giving a maximum passenger capacity of 2272(2016 regular) and 889 crew. She is powered by four 16 cyl. Sulzer-16Z AV40S diesels capable of 21 knots and is part of the Sun class of cruise ships. © Peter Steel 2014.

Hold tight and watch the horizon! Having left the port of La Coruna, Galicia, Spain, we are now into the bay of Rio de Coruna, prior to entering the Bay of Biscay, on 29/08/2014, for the journey back to Southampton, UK. The wind picked up quite quickly although it was still quite warm. You may need to turn your volume down due to the wind noise.

Oceana had left Gibraltar two days earlier and was operating on a Southampton - Cartagena - Barcelona - Monte Carlo - Civitavecchia - Alghero - Gibraltar - La Coruna - Southampton, 14 night Western Mediterranean Cruise. Next stop was back to Southampton, on 31/08/2014.
