The ugly looking Alexander 'P' was in contrast to the more successful 'PS' Type. Not exactly Alexander's finest hour! New to East Midland(632), in 05/1985, this Tiger is seen here on display at Rowsley South Station during the Nottingham Heritage Vehicles Charity Rally & Running Day at Peak Rail's H.Q., on 16/06/2024. It had latterly been a Driver Training bus with Stagecoach Cleveland Transit, at Kingston-upon-Hull, where it was numbered 25832. Later photos, especially in 2018, show it was languishing in a sorry state at the Midland Railway Butterley Swanwick Junction centre. When new, it carried the two-tone green East Midland post-privatisation livery but later wore this scheme. At one point it carried a modified radiator grill. © Peter Steel 2024.

New to Henley's, Abertillery, Wales, in 08/1982, this immaculate Tiger stayed with them for thirty-two years. Passing to KT's Coaches, as a heritage coach, it was still used on school services until a few years ago being well looked after by Chris Stainton, in full Henley's livery. Now devoid of Henley's fleetnames, it is seen here arriving at thee Mazuma Stadium, the home of Morecambe F.C., during the Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust's Morecambe Rally & Running Day, on 19/05/2024. It was kindly loaned to by Chris to the Barrow Transport Group for the day. © Peter Steel 2024.

This unique Tiger is basically a Leyland Lynx development vehicle. A solitary example with Ribble, being new in 12/1984, it has been restored to a high standard. It is seen here with a good load about to depart from the Mazuma Stadium, the home of Morecambe F.C., during the Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust's Morecambe Rally & Running Day, on 19/05/2024. It is heading for Heysham Village. © Peter Steel 2024.

This smart Tiger was new to Eastern National(1131), in 02/1986. Passing to United, and then to sister company Tees, it wore this livery at United. After leaving United/Tees, it passed to Henry Cooper, Annitsford, where it received registration ESU110. Receiving its original registration back, it passed to Busman, Knutsford, and was restored to this United livery and even appeared on Rail Replacement services during 2019. It is seen here making a pleasant appearance on Main Street, Brough, on the second and final day of the annual Cumbria Easter Rally, on 31/03/2024. It was returning to the nearby Grand Prix Coaches, Brough, from Kirkby Stephen(West) Station. © Peter Steel 2024.
