Sorry, no, it wasn't misty. After the rain the day before, and the dampness and wet of this day, my camera lens decided to mist up on the inside and I wasn't going to miss an opportunity here! This photo follows on from one taken on the day prior.

Representing the preserved on Lowther Street, Whitehaven, on 05/05/2024, is Stagecoach Cumberland 805, X805SRM, an Alexander ALX300 bodied MAN 18.220. New to Stagecoach Cumberland, in 12/2000, this smart MAN is returning to the town from St. Bees, having made a run from Whitehaven during the second day of the 'Leyland National 52' celebrations that were organised by the Workington Transport Heritage Trust, its home event, to commemorate fifty-two years since the entry into service of the first National to be constructed at the Lillyhall plant that is situated near Workington. This event was organised after the successes of the previous 'Leyland National 50' and 'Leyland National 51' events. has recently been fully restored in the livery it was new in. Previously in all white, this MAN was stood down from operating on rail replacement and private hires during 2022 by the Workington Transport Heritage Trust, its current owners. This was the first time that St. Bees has been included at this event safe for the Saturday evening Fish & Chip run.
