A popular type with Belfast Citybus/Ulsterbus. This Leopard was new to Ulsterbus, in 09/1982, registered AXI285. With thanks to the former(?) owner Leopard285 who replied to a previous photo on this stream, these were known as 'Specials', being one of forty originally intended for National Bus Company operators. It is seen here at Glyndyfrdwy Station, Wales, when on display at the Llangollen Railway Classic Transport Weekend, on 07/07/2024. It was previously in Ulsterbus blue & cream livery. Contrasting alongside, and in a Blackpool Borough Transportesque livery is preserved former Ulsterbus - Citybus(2563), BXI2563, an Alexander(Belfast) bodied Bristol RELL6G. This was new to Citybus in 06/1983. © Peter Steel 2024.

New to Ribble as a 36-seat touring coach in 04/1970, this was the last in the batch of twenty of these short Leopards supplied to Ribble. Having been with National Travel(South West)(Greenslades), Parfitt's, Rhymney Bridge, Wales, where it received a Supreme IV lower front dash and was re-registered NIJ6060, it then passed to Leisurelink, Canvey Island. It then later passed to Ripley(dlr), Carlton and has thankfully been saved for preservation after being up for sale for several years. It is seen here at Glyndyfrdwy Station, Wales, during the Llangollen Railway Classic Transport Weekend, on 07/07/2024. © Peter Steel 2024.

This immaculate Willowbrook bodied Leopard is a credit to its owners. Having undergone extensive, and no doubt expensive restoration, it is seen here on Rutland Square, Bakewell, having arrived from Rowsley South Station, during the Nottingham Heritage Vehicles Charity Rally & Running Day at Peak Rail's H.Q., on 16/06/2024. It was new to the Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Company(BMMO), in 06/1963, who traded as Midland Red. The Smethwick issued 'HA' registration letters becoming synonymous with BMMO/Midland Red. © Peter Steel 2024.
