This nicely restored Leyland Cheetah was new to Ribble in 06/1936 and is seen here, on 26/05/2019, making a rare appearance, at The Globe Arena, the home of Morecambe FC, when attending the RVPT Rally & Running Day, which like the Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancs. Morecambe depot Open & Running Day, on the previous day, was celebrating the centenary of Ribble Motor Services. © Peter Steel 2019.

Another fine vehicle from the Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust, is this recently restored Cheetah that was new to Ribble in 06/1936. This made the journey on the same lowloader as the Leyland Lion in the previous photo and is also seen here on display near the famous art-deco Midland Hotel, Morecambe, for the RVPT Running Day, on 25/05/2014. © Peter Steel 2014.

These two fine examples of classic Leyland buses are seen on display near the famous art-deco Midland Hotel, Morecambe, for the RVPT Running Day, on 25/05/2014.

On the left, facing the camera, is 1568, RN7824, a Brush bodied Cheetah LZ2, new in 06/1936, and on the right is 1161, CK4518, a Lion LT2, new in 03/1931. Both made the journey to Morecambe on a lowloader, save for the last 400yds. or so, thus making a fine sight on Morecambe Promenade. Unfortunately, I just missed them arriving. © Peter Steel 2014.
