On the road is a preserved Dodson bodied Leyland G7. Registered BD209, it was new in 1921 and is the only surviving example of it's type. It has removable windows and a canvas roof which enable it to be converted from bus form into a traditional charabanc, hence the name Charabus. This unique vehicle is from the Mike Sutcliffe collection. The tram, seen being held prior to the stop for Pockerley Old Hall and Pockerley Waggonway is preserved Sunderland Corporation 16 - ERTCW. It looks more modern than it's 1900 build date. This photo was taken during the Great North Steam Fair on 14/04/2019. © Peter Steel 2019.
