New to BT in 12/1986, this immaculate 'Roadtrain' is seen here at the premises of the Merseyside Transport Trust, Burscough, during their excellent open & running Day on 31/06/2022. Alongside is preserved Liverpool Corporation Transport, A36, NKD536. This Crossley bodied AEC Regent Mk.III 9613A, was new to Liverpool, in 11/1953. © Peter Steel 2022.

An overview of a variety of buses, both from the Trust and visitors at this well organised event on 14/07/2019. The Old Airfield acts as a car park and display of buses or layover area for buses on the running day. This photo was taken from preserved Merseyside Transport 1449, GKA449L, an open-top Alexander AL bodied Leyland Atlantean AN68/1R. New in 04/1973 and converted by MPTE for operation at Southport depot, it is preserved by the Merseyside Transport Trust in MPTE Verona Green & Cream livery, the livery it had previously been restored in, after carrying a yellow front commemorating the 1984 Liverpool Garden Festival. © Peter Steel 2019.
