Prior to and when the Leyland Atlantean ceased production, Hyndburn switched to the Dennis Dominator for their double-deck needs. New in 11/1983, this one is seen here on Blackburn Road near the old Accrington Bus Station, on 01/12/1989. A grand total of nine Dominators were bought new, either in singles or two's. This one with 106, A106KRN, albeit a month later.

The camera being a Praktica MTL3.

Accrington Corporation/Hyndburn Transport bought their buses in small batches, this one being the standard double-deck of the period being in a batch of four, 189-92: URN326-9R, new in 09/1976. It is seen here on layover at the old Accrington Bus Station on Peel Street, on 01/12/1989. It was awaiting a trip throught the Lancashire countryside and townscape to Bacup.
