New to the Royal Household, in 07/1966, registered KLP1D, this baby Bedford is fitted with 10 seats and a luggage/Corgi dog compartment. It was built at the former Willowbrook factory at Loughborough and was used to transfer members of the Royal Household and their luggage, or the then Queen Mother's Corgi dogs, between the various Royal Palaces and events. It was later re-registered PYY28D and reverted to it's original reg. c.2015. It is seen here on Main Street, Brough, turning right onto B6276 New Road, on the first day of two of the annual Cumbria Easter Rally. It is heading out on the Saturday Road Run. © Peter Steel 2024.
