Another photo of a TAZ to add to my collection. How Mercedes-Benz collaborated with Tvornica Autobusa Zagreb is any ones guess, as they were a bit on the ropey side. I suppose the Merc. badge is technically correct though, or should that be mechanically correct? This one, a high floor D3500 with the luxury of air horns, is seen here, on 27/07/1994, in Bullied Way, Victoria, London, of what in essence was the 'Green Line' terminal, however, there always seemed quite a few exceptions, with various operators and some of Stagecoach's Megabus services also working out of here. As you can see, I struggled with the light coming through the roof lights. I'm unsure which Cannon Travel this was, possibly Liverpool. It was new to Hamilton(Bennett), Uxbridge, in 11/1989, so a bit nearer it's former home.
The camera being a Praktica MTL3 with the film being the 'Fujichrome' colourslide.

God, these were rough! How Mercedes-Benz collaborated with Tvornica Autobusa Zagreb is any ones guess. I suppose the Merc. badge is technically correct though, or should that be mechanically correct? New to Smith, Kibworth Beauchamp, in 08/1989, this rare Yougoslav built TAZ is seen here at Windsor Coach Park, on 04/06/1994. Like my previous photo from this location, I don't know too much about this operator either, i.e., where they were from.

God, these were rough although this one looks tidy enough! How Mercedes-Benz collaborated with Tvornica Autobusa Zagreb is any ones guess. New to Eurobus, Harmondsworth, in 01/1990, registered G576WUT, this rare Yougoslav built TAZ is seen here at Wembley Stadium, London, having brought Wycombe Wanderers supporters for their team's Football League 3rd. Division Play-off Final -v- Preston North End. For the record, Wycombe, who now ply their trade in the Championship, alongside Preston, won 4-2 in front of a crowd of 40,109, so a happy journey home for these Wanderers supporters, even though it was in a TAZ!
The camera being a Praktica MTL3 with the film being the excellent Fujichrome.

God, these were rough although this one looks tidy enough! How Mercedes-Benz collaborated with Tvornica Autobusa Zagreb is any ones guess. New to Thandi, Smethwick, in 06/1989, this rare Yougoslav built TAZ is seen here at Market Street Car Park, Barrow-in-Furness, on 13/09/1992, having brought St. Helens RLFC supporters to watch their team's match at Craven Park, the home of Barrow RLFC, in the Lancashire Cup 1st. Round. The lucky passengers of this one had the luxury of a toilet though! For the record, St. Helens, then a Championship side won 36-2, Barrow being in the then named Third Division. At the end of that season the Third Division was re-named the Second Division with Barrow having a narrow escape from relegation to the National Conference League on a points difference basis. Contrasting alongside is Eavesway, Ashton-in-Makerfield, G268EHD, a Van Hool Alizee bodied DAF SB3000DKV601. It was new to Eavesway in 10/1989. The St. Helens players had this as their form of transport to the game.
