In 03/2001, then independent Metrobus acquired a batch of nine of these MPD Darts; 348/9/51-4/6-8, Y348HMY etc., for the convoluted Service 367, which meandered it's way between Bromley North and West Croydon. Unfortunately Metrobus' new MPDs could not physically negotiate the route due to road-humps, so until the Councils could resolve the road issues older Darts had to be employed, while these then new Darts, initially started on the 233 Eltham - Sidcup - Swanley. See www.countrybus.org/Dart_SLF/SLF_Metrobus/SLF_Met.htm. On 31/07/2001, 353 finds itself here in West Croydon Bus Station when awaiting a return trip on it's original intended service, the 367. In 03/2011 this Dart was withdrawn and returned off-lease for sale/lease by Southdown PSV. See www.countrybus.org/Dart_SLF/SLF_Metrobus/SLF_Met_a.htm#fleet.

New to Metrobus, in 07/1999, in a batch of eleven; 401-11, T401-11SMV, this Trident is seen here at the Millennium Dome, on 08/08/2000. It later became Arriva Kent and Surrey(5442), then TGM/Network Colchester(155) and later 381. It is working out to Chislehurst.
