Facing the 'wrong' way on the bus stop is preserved Barrow Borough Transport 100, E571MAC, a Peugeot-Talbot Pullman New in 06/1988, and a rare preserved example of the Talbot Pullman, it is now owned by a couple of members from the Barrow Transport Group. Originally leased to Barrow Borough Transport in all-over white with bus seats in a bid to fend off competition from Ribble, this is now preserved in BBT Blue Line livery and fitted with coach type seats. It is seen here on Rating Lane, Barrow-in-Furness while some of the Group's members were attending the nearby Furness Model Railway Club's 55th. Annual Exhibition at Barrow's Sixth Form College on 14/10/2017. Meanwhile, approaching the camera is another bus from the Barrow Transport Group, in long time preserved Barrow Corporation 169, CEO956, a Park Royal bodied Leyland Titan PD2/40, one of a batch of ten, 161-70(CEO948-57), new in 10/1958. Two are preserved, this and sister 170(CEO957) with the Barrow Transport Group and 165(CEO952) is still in existence, albeit in open-top form with an open-rear staircase. 169 is seen here working a free shuttle service between Barrow Town Hall and the exhibition via Barrow Railway Station. With St. Aloysius on the destination blind, this bus isn't too far off some of it's service days as the school, now known as St. Bernards, is about a 100 yards down the road in the direction of the bus. © Peter Steel 2017.

Seen on display at the Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancs. Carlisle Depot Open Day on 27/05/2017 are, on the left, preserved Barrow Corporation 169, CEO956, a Park Royal bodied Leyland Titan PD2/40, one of a batch of ten, 161-70(CEO948-57), new in October 1958. Two are preserved, this and sister 170(CEO957) with the Barrow Transport Group and 165(CEO952) is still in existence, albeit in open-top form with an open-rear staircase. 169 made a much welcome re-appearance on the rally circuit in 2016 after several years in store while awaiting a new engine. The paintwork only needed a good clean and a touch up. In contrast, on the right, is preserved Barrow Borough Transport 100, E571MAC, a Peugeot-Talbot Pullman, new in 06/1988. A rare preserved example of the Talbot Pullman, this example is now owned by a couple of members from the Barrow Transport Group.
