New to Scottish Omnibuses(t/a Eastern Scottish Omnibuses Ltd.), in 02/1979, this smart Seddon Pennine is seen here turning around on Christian Head, Kirkby Stephen, during the second day of the annual Cumbria Easter Rally, on 31/03/2024. It is carrying a good load when heading for Grand Prix Coaches, Brough. The Seddon Pennine with both Alexander Y-Type and T-Type were the mainstay of operations for the Scottish Bus Group companies. The Motorway M-Type was also used but in very much smaller numbers than the main Y and T-Type examples. This two day event is popular with our Scottish bus preservation friends. © Peter Steel 2024.

A fine entrant at the 17th. Aire Valley Transport Group Yorkshire Dales Running Day, on 08/10/2023, was this rare Plaxton Bodied Seddon. Apparently the registration is apt according to some enthusiasts. It is owned by preservationist Roger Burdett and is seen here on Coach Street Car & Coach Park, Skipton. New to Essex Coachways, in 03/1971, it has been restored in the livery of Red House Motor Services, Coventry, having latterly been in the livery of Leicester based G. H. Watts, it's last operator prior to entering preservation. © Peter Steel 2023.
