This smart Scania was new to the always well kept fleet of The Kings Ferry, in 04/1995 and appeared at the U.K. Coach Rally, Brighton, the same month. It is seen here barely a month later at Windsor Coach Park, at the end of 05/1995. Not the best of photo's I'm afraid. I have a habit of this, if I just want to include the one vehicle. Probably best viewed on a mobile phone.
The camera being a Praktica MTL3 with the film being the excellent Fujichrome.

I think I maybe correct in saying that these handy Toyota minicoaches were built in collaboration with Portuguese coachbuilder Caetano. This pristine example, as were all of The Kings Ferry vehicles, is seen here at Wembley Stadium, London, on 28/05/1994, having brought Wembley staff I believe, for the Football League 3rd. Division Play-Off Final between Preston North End and Wycombe Wanderers. For the record, Wycombe, who now ply their trade in the Championship, alongside Preston, won 4-2 in front of a crowd of 40,109. Back to this Toyota, it was new to Philp(t/a Allinson's?), Dunfermline, in 10/1992, registered K212SFP. Arriving at The Kings Ferry, in 1993, it received the 'KFC' registration in 01/1994. Replacing a similar model, it was re-registered again in 04/1995 receiving K651VKN and passed to Guideline, South Wimbledon. Just glimpsed behind, is MIB9505, a Willowbrook re-bodied Leyland Leopard PSU5B/4R. It was new to National Travel(West)(1221), in 05/1977, registered XCK221R and fitted with a Willowbrook Spacecar body. It is seen here operating with Ash, Wooburn, having received it's new Willowbrook body in 03/1990.

The always smart fleet of The Kings Ferry operated high quality coaches on their London - Kent commuter services that mainly started out at Bressenden Place, Victoria, on their homeward bound teatime/early evening journeys. This smart Neoplan, new to The Kings Ferry, in 08/1992, is seen here, in early 06/1994, resting on Millbank, Westminster, SW1, near Lambeth Bridge, prior to working one such journey. Obviously Mercedes powered judging by their famous badge on the front!

The Kings Ferry operated high quality coaches on their London - Kent commuter services that mainly started out at Bressenden Place, Victoria, on their homeward bound journeys. This pristine Merc. however had served Docklands and Aldgate and is seen here on A1211 Aldgate High Street on one such service on 24/08/2010. It contrast quite well with the integral and more common O 303 seen in my previous Kings Ferry photo with this rare beast being new to the well respected The Kings Ferry in 04/1991 and provided variety and a colourful scene with Grey-Green, Southend Transport and Thamesway all using this area of East London for their respective commuter services, that in the main competed with the railway with the majority being established on the back of the then unreliability and strikes that were prevalent around the late 1980s, early 1990s.
