The Sanos was a Yugoslavian licence-built Mercedes-Benz O 303. A total of 27 examples entered UK service between 1988-92 with Shearings taking a pair, this one, and sister G894VNA, in 05/1990. In fact, Lyles took them both off Shearings, of which I have a photo of further back. Buy one, get one free was it? The Sanos was marketed in the UK by Purfleet based Ensign dealership and bus operator as the Charisma. This one has been smartly repainted with air horns, a Merc. badge and O 303 badges just to fool 'Joe Public' and add a little extra 'bling'. It is seen here, making the right hand turn from Elizabeth Street, onto Buckingham Palace Road, outside London Victoria Coach Station. It had arrived from West Yorkshire and unloaded it's passengers at 'Sammys'. It would later work it's National Express service back 'oop North' to Leeds.
The camera being a Praktica MTL3 with the film being a Boots Colourslide.

The Sanos was a Yugoslavian licence-built Mercedes O303 and although looking the part, I think build quality was a bit suspect from what I can gather. A total of 27 examples entered UK service between 1988-92 with Angel taking a pair, this one, in 10/1989 and G133APU a month later. The Sanos was marketed in the UK by Purfleet based Ensign dealership and bus operator as the Charisma. This rare coach is seen here at Bullied Way, Victoria, London, in early 06/1994. Bullied Way also acted as Green Line terminus.
The camera being a Praktica MTL3 with the film being a 'Fujichrome' colourslide.

The Sanos was a Yugoslavian licence-built Mercedes O303. A total of 27 examples entered UK service between 1988-92 with Shearings taking a pair, unmistakably this one, and sister G895VNA, in 05/1990. In fact, Lyles took them both off Shearings! Buy one, get one free was it? The Sanos was marketed in the UK by Purfleet based Ensign dealership and bus operator as the Charisma. Although looking neat, little has been done here by Lyles to the livery of it's former owner. It is seen here at Walney Community Centre, Central Drive, Walney Island, Barrow-in-Furness, in early 04/1993. It had probably brought a West Yorkshire based amateur rugby league team to play at the nearby Walney Central ARLFC ground of which the changing rooms can be seen just behind the coach to the left of the photo.
