This Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident was delivered in the first eighteen of the longer TPL class which were all new in 02/2002. All were allocated to Harrow Weald for the 140/N140, London Heathrow Airport - Harrow Weald, and it's the former on this which this one is operating when seen in Harrow Bus Station, on 08/06/2002. In 07/2003, it was transferred to Holloway prior to returning to Harrow Weald, in 03/2004, however it didn't stay for too long before going back to Holloway in 09/2004. In 06/2007, it moved to Perivale then in 02/2008 it was loaned to London United at Shepherds Bush. In 06/2008, it was back to Holloway prior to going back to Perivale two months later, however after being refurbished and repainted it moved back to Holloway straight away. No one must have liked this bus as it went to Cricklewood just a month later. It went back to Holloway in 06/2009 and remarkably stayed there until being withdrawn and into store at Perivale in 02/2013 and was immediately sold to Ensign Bus, the Purfleet based dealer. Two months later moved to Wales when it was bought by Newport Transport(422) and converted to single-door layout however it was incorrectly registered LR51KXV. This was corrected in 09/2013. These details and more can be found at www.countrybus.org/Trident/TP_Metroline/TP_a.htm#fleet.

The camera being a Pentax MZ-M with the film being a Fujichrome Colourslide.

This smart Olympian was new to Metroline, in 08/1998, and was delivered in a batch that totalled sixteen; AV23-38, S233RLH, S124-38RLE. It is seen here departing London Victoria Railway Station, in late October, early November 1998, and is heading back to it's home garage of Cricklewood. Starting it's life out of Cricklewood, it then spent the rest of it's London career mainly working out of the north-west London garages of Willesden, Harlesden, Park Royal, back to Harlesden, the Potters Bar, Perivale and finally Harrow Weald from where it was withdrawn in 07/2008. It then passed to the well known Purfleet based dealer, Ensign Bus, prior to entering their operational fleet, in 10/2008, where it was converted to single-door layout and numbered 125. In 08/2011, it was bought by Red Route Buses, Gravesend. Behind is London General GLS450, GUW450W, an East Lancs Greenway converted Leyland National 2 NL106AL11/2R. Operating on the Red Arrow routes, it was converted in 09/1993, having been new to London Transport(LS450), in 04/1981.

The camera being a Praktica MTL3 with the film being a Boots Colourslide II.

Not the best of photos I'm afraid. This Dart formed part of the initial batch of the 'DL' class at Metroline, being new in 05/1997, the first batch consisting of DL1-11, P201-11OLX. It is seen here, on a hot 11/08/1997, when leaving Edgware Bus Station, operating Service 204 to Sudbury Town Station. It entered service operating out of North Wembley before moving to Park Royal, in 04/2003. In 05/2005, it went into store at North Wembley and just two months later was sold to PL Enterprises. In 11/2005, it went to Coakley, Motherwell, via Sprayers, Nottingham. For these details and more, see www.countrybus.org/Dart_SLF/Metroline/DLD.htm.

Metroline operated forty-four of these 9.8m Darts with Plaxton Pointer bodywork. They arrived in two batches, EDR1-9, M101-9BLE, arriving in 10/1994, then the latter batch of EDR10-44, of which began to arrive in 08/1996 with this example being from that first batch. It is seen here about to pick up passengers at Edgware Bus Station, on a very warm 11/08/1997, when working a local service to Queensbury, from Broadfields Estate. When new, this one initially worked out of Harrow Weald, as a driver trainer, moving to Edgware a month later. After a spell in store at Harlesden, it moved to Potters Bar, in 03/2000. After a contretompts with a car, in 01/2001, it moved into store at Cricklewood. Two months later, it moved back to Potters Bar, then to North Wembley, in 02/2002. In 08/2003, it went for use as a driver trainer, then into store, also at North Wembley, in 05/2004. A month later, it moved to Southdown PSV(dlr) and in 01/2005 it was acquired by South Gloucestershire Bus Co., Patchway. In 08/2006, it moved to Click Services, Pemberton, and by 12/2009 to Ripley(Carlton), presumably for scrap. For these details and more, please see countrybus.org/Dart/EDR_a.htm#Met.
