These two fine variations of classic passenger transport are seen here at Beamish, the Living Museum of the North, on the second day of the museum's three-day "Fares Please!" event on 07/05/2023. Heading towards the camera at the entrance/exit to the museum is preserved Sunderland Corporation Transport, 13, GR9007, an all- Crossley DD42/3. This fine bus was new to Sunderland in 04/1947, while having just departed in the opposite direction is preserved Blackpool Corporation Transport 31. A Midland RCW, this was new to Blackpool in 1900. On this occasion, trams were operating in the clockwise direction while the museum's own and visiting buses and coaches were operating in the anti-clockwise direction. © Peter Steel 2023.

This smart all-Crossley DD42/3 was new to Sunderland in 04/1947. It is seen here departing from '1900s Town', at Beamish, the Living Museum of the North, during the museum's "Fares Please!" three-day event on 07/05/2023. It is heading for the main entrance/exit. I think this Crossley is a resident here but it does appear at other rallies. On this occasion buses and coaches were operating the anti-clockwise circuit while the trams were operating the clockwise circuit. © Peter Steel 2023.
