New to Blazefield - Burnley & Pendle(1062), in 07/2001, this B10BLE was among twenty-five of the type along with fifteen Plaxton President bodied Volvo B7TLs as part of a fleet renewal programme when Blazefield acquired the Stagecoach operations at Blackburn, Bolton, Burnley and Clitheroe in 04/2001. They branded them Burnley & Pendle, and Lancashire United, the latter looking strange with a Harrogate legal address! This B10BLE passed to Squarepeg, New Farnley, in 10/2017, Busman, Congleton, in 06/2020, Glover, Ashbourne, in 07/2020 where it received registration AIG2912. Re-registered back to its original plate Y162HRN, in 11/2022, it had passed to Looms(dlr), Spondon, by 02/2023, then Bethell, Tamworth, in the same month. It passed to the WTHT for months later and is used on Rail Replacement work. It is seen here on West Strand, Whitehaven, on 05/05/2024, during the second day of the 'Leyland National 52' celebrations that were organised by the Workington Transport Heritage Trust, its home event, to commemorate fifty-two years since the entry into service of the first National to be constructed at the Lillyhall plant that is situated near Workington. It then worked for A-Line Coaches, Coventry and latterly with Ultimate Coaches, Barnsley.
