As well as their well known, more stylish and more common Skyliner, the German manufacturer of high quality coaches, Neoplan, also supplied basically the same underframe as a separate unit for bodying by other caochbuilders, Plaxton bodying for the British market. There weren't too many of these built, but a few National Bus Company operators took these for their National Express 'Rapide' duties, this being supplied to West Yorkshire Road Car Co., in 05/1986, being the last numerically in a small batch of four; 2001-4, C750-3CWX. It was acquired by City Coaches from Dodsworth, Boroughbridge, in 1995, and is seen here at Wembley Trading Estate, near Wembley Stadium, London, on 26/05/1996, for the 1996 Football League Second Division Play-off Final between Bradford City, who finished sixth and had only won the play-off place on the final game of the regular season, and Notts County, who finished fourth, in the 1995-6 season. For the record, Bradford City were 2-0 victor's in front of an attendance of 39,972.

There weren't too many of these built but there were a few operators who took these for National Express duties. West Yorkshire was one and 2004 is seen here when new turning from Elizabeth Street onto Buckingham Palace Road, London, having just departed from Victoria Coach Station while operating NX565 to Harrogate, in late May 1986. As a footnote, I have tried to upload this photo twice with my copyright mark on and it appeared just as a multitude of colours, so I have re-uploaded it for now without and would request that it is not downloaded in any way, shape or form.
The film was a Boots Colourslide which has sadly faded. The camera being a Praktica MTL3.
