A bit of variety here. This photo was taken during the museum's "Fares Please!" three-day event on 07/05/2023. In the distance on the right of the photo and heading towards the camera is preserved Blackpool Corporation Transport, 31, a Midland RCW that was built in 1901, whilst in the distance kerbside is Cumbria Classic Coaches, Ravenstonedale, 627HFM, an ECW bodied Bristol Lodekka LD6B. This was new to Crosville as No.DLB978(Signifying that it was new with a Bristol engine), in 07/1959, as a convertible open-top and restored in the reversed Crosville coach style livery. Nearest the camera is preserved Sunderland Corporation Transport, 48, WBR248, a rare Marshall bodied Atkinson Alpha PM746HL. Sunderland Corporation had three of these rare Atkinson Alpha's, two of which are preserved, the other, 46 WBR246, in the livery with more green. It was new in 01/1964. © Peter Steel 2023.
