New to Stagecoach Ribble(702) in 03/2000 and was only one of two MPD's ordered new by the English operations of Stagecoach. Based at Clitheroe when new it was then transferred to the Lancashire Blazefield operations when Stagecoach sold the operations and depots at Accrington and Burnley. It was shuffled around between fleets and it first saw use with Lancashire United, Harrogate and District, Keighley and District and Burnley & Pendle having operated in a livery similar to the one it is now preserved in. When no longer required it was sold to WAVE, Stirling then McCall's, Lockerbie. It is seen here at the Town & District Transport Trust’s Great Harwood Bus Rally & Running Day on 16/09/2018. © Peter Steel 2018.

New to Blazefield Lancashire United, in 03/2002, this B10BLE is seen here leaving Preston Bus Station, in early 06/2005, when operating trunk service 152 to Burnley. This was a former Stagecoach service but the East Lancashire operations of Stagecoach were sold to Blazefield Travel, in 2001. Soon after the business was split in two. The Blackburn, Bolton, Clitheroe and Hyndburn area became Lancashire United and the Burnley, Colne & Nelson town and area services under the Burnley & Pendle name. Ironically, the well known Lancashire United name, reviving memories of the past of the Atherton based independent, had a head office in Harrogate, North Yorkshire! The colours in this livery are not too dissimilar to the local then arms-length municipal operator Preston Bus.
Investment by Blazefield in new vehicles commenced almost immediately on operation, with the first of thirty of these Wright Renown bodied Volvo B10BLEs arriving in 09/2001. Blazefield became a subsidiary of French group Transdev in 01/2006 and this bus is still in frontline service with Transdev - The Blackburn Bus Company during 2022.
The camera being a Pentax MZ-M with the film being a FujiChrome Colourslide.
