The Class 150/2 have corridor connections rather than non-corridor for Class 150/1's. They are powered by a Cummins NT855-R5 Diesel, one for each car, and are capable of 75 m.p.h. This one is seen here powering through Hunts Cross, Liverpool, heading for Liverpool Lime Street, in a combo. with Pacer 142028. First of the third batch, 142028 was built in 1985, supplied to Provincial Railways and is powered by Cummins LT10-R 6-cylinder 10 litre units having been powered by the Leyland TL11 11.1 litre units. Most, if not all have been re-furbished over the years and are capable of a maximum speed of 75 mph. The chassis were built at BREL/Derby and the bodies were built by Leyland at Workington and are based on the Leyland National bus. More commonly known as 'Nodding Donkeys' due to their ride quality, they are still serving the provincial lines in the UK. Photo taken on 30/09/2015. © Peter Steel 2015.
