Based at Frontier, near the airport, Citibus, operated by Calypso Transport Limited, is a private urban transport company which has been providing a bus service in Gibraltar since 1970. The other bus service operating in the British colony is the Government owned Gibraltar Bus Company. Quite what Citibus do with all these buses in their varied fleet remains a mystery to the day visitor! Most seen in this view are the SCC Nimbus bodied Tranbus Darts from Gibraltar Bus Company, that were replaced by Caetano bodied MANs. The first three Darts from right to left are G8180A, G8178A, and G8182A and were all new to Gibraltar Bus Company in 03/2004. The fourth bus in the line is G5146D, a MAN.

This photo was taken from a Toyota minibus, heading towards Frontier, when on a P&O Cruises tour of Gibraltar - The Rock Revealed, for P&O Cruises MV Britannia - IMO: 9614036, on 24/07/2023.

Traffic no longer have to wait now to cross the airport's runway in order to get to Frontier. A new tunnel for cars, motorcycles, vans and trucks finally opened on 31/03/2023. This marked the end of a construction project that took more than 14 years to complete, with building work suspended for five years by litigation between the contractor and the Government of Gibraltar.

Having departed from Ocean Cruise Terminal, Southampton, on 21/07/2023, MV Britannia was on a lovely 14-night Western Mediterranean Cruise; Southampton - Gibraltar - Ibiza, Spain - Palma de Mallorca, Spain - Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy - Malaga, Spain - Cadiz, Spain - Southampton. Next stop, Ibiza, on 26/07/2023. © Peter Steel 2023.
