This imported Orenstein and Koppel 0-4-0WT, No. 7529, dates from 1914. It is seen here after running around its stock to take on water, at the Swanwick Junction terminus of the Golden Valley Light Railway, which is based at the Midland Railway's large Swanwick Junction Museum Complex, Ripley, Derbyshire. This Hunslet was purchased as an incomplete loco. and is ex of MoD Lydd, Kent. Prior to that, it worked at MoD Eastriggs, Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland. It has been completely overhauled, restored to full working order and is in standard MoD paint finish. It has a 3 cylinder 28hp Perkins water cooled engine and hydraulic transmission. Weighing four tons, it has a maximum speed of 4mph. It is seen here outside one of the sheds of the GVLR which is based at the Midland Railway's large Swanwick Junction Museum Complex, Ripley, Derbyshire.
