From 09/1985 to 01/1986, Greater Manchester Transport took delivery of twenty of these Dennis Dominos. Numbered 1751-70, they replaced the bouncy Seddon Pennine IV 236s on the Centreline service that linked Manchester Piccadilly and Victoria stations. This smart Domino is the only remaining example from this batch and it was purchased by the SELNEC Preservation Society in 1998. It had passed to GM Buses (South) when GM Buses was split in 12/1993, and it was inherited by Stagecoach Manchester in 02/1996. It is seen here on display at the Wirral Bus & Tram Show, Shore Road, Birkenhead, on 02/10/2005.
The camera being a Pentax MZ-M with the film being a Jessops Colourslide.
I would request, as with all my photos, that they are not copied or downloaded in any way, shape or form. © Peter Steel 2005.
