This 'O' Gauge Model Railway is seen here inside the The Stationary Power House which is located at the side of the Matthew Kirtley Building at the Midland Railway - Butterley - Swanwick Junction Museum Complex, Ripley, Derbyshire. It houses a large collection of machines from agriculture and industry, some of which have been restored to working condition. On peak days, one or more of these machines can be seen in operation. This attraction is operated by an independent organisation and the Midland Railway – Butterley cannot guarantee its opening days and times. This photo was taken during the railway's Transport Festival, on 10/07/2022. © Peter Steel 2022.

This top tourist attraction and model village was opened in 1963 by Tom & Ruth Dobbins, who had previously opened another model village at Southport in 1957. Here a train crosses the 'Suspension Bridge'.

This photo was taken on 35mm film on a camera which I can't now remember, possibly a Praktica MTL3.

I would request, as with all my photos, that they are not copied or downloaded in any way, shape or form. © Peter Steel 1986.
