Seen here at Ramsbottom at the ELR DMU Gala, on 13/11/2022, are these two immaculate DMU's. On the left, awaiting departure having just arrived from Rawtenstall, is Class 104 Birmingham R.C. & W Co.. Built in 1957, is, leading, furthest from camera Class 104/1 M50517 Motor Composite Second with Lavatory while trailing is Class 104/2 M50455 Motor Brake Second. Both cars are powered by two B.U.T. (Leyland) six cylinder units. M50517 was based at Newton Heath while M50455 was based at Buxton. On the right awaiting departure for Rawtenstall, is Cravens two-car unit consisting of Class 141 Driving Trailer Composite with Toilet, E56121, dating from 1965, trailing, and Class 105/2 Driving Motor Brake Second, Sc51485, dating from 1959, leading. Sc51485 was also numbered E51485. The DMBS was powered by two B.U.T.(A.E.C.) six cylinder power units.
