Only one batch of these right hand drive Neoplan N4016 low floor buses was ever built, this batch of twelve vehicles being supplied to Merseybus and passing to Arriva when they acquired MTL. This batch included this one seen here at The Wirral Bus & Tram Show, Shore Road Car Park, Birkenhead, on 05/10/2008 after passing into preservation, though it is thought that this bus has since been scrapped. They were delivered to MTL Merseyside for their 'SMART' network in 01/1994 and 02/1994, this one being in the latter month. They were numbered and registered 6402-13, L402-10TKB, L175/6THF and L413TKB. 6411/2 arrived first with registrations L175/6THF, but their registrations were changed to L411/2UFY to match their fleetnumbers in 07/1994.

The camera being a Pentax MZ-M with the film being a Jessops Colourslide.

I would request, as with all my photos, that they are not copied or downloaded in any way, shape or form. © Peter Steel 2008.

Originally registered L176THF, this early low-floor Neoplan was one of twelve examples delivered to MTL Merseyside for their 'SMART' network in 01/1994 and 02/1994, 6402-13, L402-10TKB, L175/6THF and L413TKB. 6411/2 arrived first with registrations L175/6THF, but their registrations were changed to L411/2UFY to match their fleetnumbers in 07/1994. This example is seen here at Queen Square Bus Station, in either late October, or early November 2005. I must admit, they sounded rough.

The camera being a Pentax MZ-M with the film being a Fujichrome Colourslide.
