More details on my previous photo of this immaculate fire appliance. Built in 1920, this Leyland E worked out of the Church Fire Station, near Accrington, Lancashire. The chassis was built at the Leyland factory in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey, and finished at the Chorley works of Leyland Motors. is seen here on display at the British Commercial Vehicle Museum, Leyland, on 25/09/2022. This museum is well worth a visit, especially if you haven't been for a while or in fact haven't been before. © Peter Steel 2022.
