Down as a Weymann bodied bus, this smart rare bus was the first of six Leyland/MCW Olympian HRC integral buses delivered in 1957 to the well known former Lancashire independent, this being new in 10/1957. Sadly Fishwick's ceased trading after entering administration on 24/10/2015. It is seen here on display at Kirkby Industrial Estate, Liverpool, during the North West Vehicle Restoration Trust's Rally & Running Day on 04/06/2023. © Peter Steel 2023.

The former Leyland based and well respected operator, J. Fishwick & Sons, is represented here on Kirkby Industrial Estate, Liverpool, during the North West Vehicle Restoration Trust's Rally & Running Day on 04/06/2023. Fishwick's sadly ceased trading on 24/10/2015 after entering administration.
Nearest the camera is 7, 521CTF, a Leyland/MCW HRC Olympian. Down as a Weymann bodied bus, this smart rare bus was the first of six Leyland/MCW Olympian HRC integral buses delivered in 10/1957. Alongside is 16, OFV620X, a Leyland National 2 NL116AL11/1R. This was new in 12/1981, along with sister 26, OFV621X, which is also preserved, while at the far end is 12, VTD441H, a one off Fowler bodied Leyland Tiger Cub PSUC1/12. Fishwick had several vehicles bodied locally by their associated coachbuilders Fowler and this was also the last Tiger Cub built, entering service in 03/1970. © Peter Steel 2023.
