Unsure which model this is. See comment below kindly provided by 1K Image Miscellany. L. Gardner and Sons Ltd was a British builder of diesel engines for stationary, marine, road and rail applications. The company was founded in Hulme, Manchester, in 1868, and started building engines around 1895. The firm ceased engine production in the mid-1990s although there is a company called Gardner Marine Diesels who are the only company in the World that can offer service, engine rebuilds and technical advice to the same exceptional quality as originally offered by the L. Gardner and Sons factory, at their works in Canterbury. This power unit is seen here on display the British Commercial Vehicle Museum, Leyland, on 25/09/2022. This museum is well worth a visit, especially if you haven't been for a while or in fact haven't been before. © Peter Steel 2022.
