On the left is a yacht, whereas the the boat in the centre of the photo, Defiance, is a fishing vessel. The church seen to the left of the photo is St. James the Great church, which is situated on Blake Street, Barrow-in-Furness. The church is in the Church of England's Diocese of Carlisle, and is Grade II listed.

New in 07/2018, this Fisheries Patrol catamaran is seen here in her home port of Whitehaven, on 05/05/2024. Powered by 2 x MAN 1100hp engines, she is capable of 25 knots. Registered in Belfast, Northern Ireland, this down at heal fishing vessel is seen here at Whitehaven Harbour on 05/05/2024. It's last known journey was in 07/2018 from Portavogie, County Down, Northern Ireland. She was built in 1975 by Mackay Boat Builders (Arbroath) Ltd, Arbroath, Scotland, for John D. Dawson & Charles Dawson, Seahouses, with a port registration of Leith, Scotland, and a registration number of LH168.
