The Qutub Minar is a tower constructed in the 12th century A.D. It is an example of Indo-Islamic Afghan architecture and a World Heritage site. There is evidence that some of the stones originally had carvings of Hindu deities but were turned around and replaced by Islamic inscriptions after the Hindu rulers were replaced by Islamic emperors.
