55018 "Ballymoss" makes the Newcastle stop with 1S27, the 07:36 Plymouth to Edinburgh service, which was worked as far as York by a class 47, the Deltic taking over at York for the run North, the loco having previously worked 1V93, the 09:50 Edinburgh to Plymouth to York. The stop provided an opportunity for some enthusiasts to make a rubbing of the nameplate. 5th September 1981.
