37408 Loch Rannoch leads 37405 at Armathwaite operating the 15:51 Carlisle to Leeds service on 18th October 2003. The loco worked diagram was a pleasant way to enjoy the scenic Settle & Carlisle line.
The diagram covered the S&C and a Leeds to Knaresborough service. It was operated from Healey Mills using three dedicated Class 37/4s, although other 37s were occasionally used. Of the three (37405/8/11) only 37405 survives and is currently a regular performer on the Norwich short set, it is owned by DRS. 408 was written off after it ran away and collided with stock at Rhymney while working on Valley Lines services. 411 was also used on those services, but was scrapped by CF Booth of Rotherham in May 2013.
