On 16th August 2016 37402 passes Curthwaite with the slightly late running 2C49, 11:40 Barrow-in-Furness to Carlisle service. This must be about the longest straight stretch of track on this line!

On September 30th 2017 the black ex-LMS Jubilee 45690 Leander was the power for a Cumbrian Coast Express, seen here working the return leg on the Cumbrian Coast at Nethertown. The train had originated at Euston and worked North via the West Coast Main Line. Headcode for the return was 1Z87.

37423 leads 37609 on 2C34, the 14:25 Carlisle to Barrow-in-Furness on may 20th 2015, soon after the introduction of loco hauled working on some Cumbrian Coast services. The lines to the right serve the small oil terminal at Dalston. Taking this shot now the DBSO would be leading the train.
