For a few days in the first week of operation of 3S77, the North East Railhead Treatment Train was worked by Class 37s, before reverting to Class 66 working. The Sunday train is seen here at Stocksfield on a dull 22nd October 2017 running late on the first stage of the short Sunday working with 37602 leading, 37609 is on the rear.

Second up was 70013 Oliver Cromwell working 1Z71, The Waverley, from Cleethorpes to Carlisle, here seen passing the magnificent over the line signal box at Hexham. The early sunshine has given way to cloud cover, leading to the iso setting being cranked up to 800 from the earlier 200, with further deterioration to come by the time the third steam railtour arrived with 46233 Duchess of Sutherland.

With 37609 leading 37602 the North East Railhead Treatment Train 3S77 approaches Hexham on it's return trip across the Tyne Valley Line heading for Carlisle on a pleasant November 10th 2017. The 37s are still reasonably clean having been on the train for this day only. The pair were running early at this point.
