Knight of 1300 AD with shield and sword at the ready

This kit is period from about the 1270s to the 1330s. The scabbard mounts are based closely on the extant scabbard of Cangrande della Scala buried in 1310 AD. The helm crest is based on a relief of a knight c.1290 in the Bargello, Florence, Italy. Schynbalds are fairly rare in English effigies until the 1320s, but they were around by the 1280s at least, if not thirty years earlier.
