We are in Scotland!

Our first campsite is near Ecclefechan, just over the border. Lovely walk this afternoon along a river wher several tree stumps have been carved. This one shows an osprey and a salmon… both found locally.

Our first Scottish campsite was in the grounds of this derelict castle, last occupied in 1945. A small part of the building is still in use for offices, showers and a restaurant (which was closed last night)

We spotted this on Loch Lomond and enjoyed watching it take off, and while we were there got chatting to a local woman who said she is taking a flight on it soon... to Jura, one of the islands off the west coast of Scotland.
