Morning dew over Lac de Bious-Artigues near the Pic du Midi d'Ossau emphasizes the untranslatable feeling of coming home.

Returning after 5 years to the Pic du Midi d'Ossau in the National Parc Pyrénées (France), we got a big smile from the clouds who had covered the giant during our hike from the bottom of the Vallée d'Aspe near Borce (660m) to the Col d'Ajoux (2185m).
The next 5 days I would hike around the Jean Pierre (as the french call the 2884m mountain) in company of son Ewan and meeting nice people on the paths, but above all a splendid nature spiced with a heavenly silence.

Taking a break for a long hike in the area around Pic du Midi d'Ossau in the Pyrenees near the spanish border. Lots of high altitude lakes, wildlife, nature and silence will be my habitat for the next week, together with son Ewan and my camera.

Sometimes crossing paths lead to a contemplative moment on the core of life.
