While we only chased to Seward once on our trip, Moose Pass is by far one of the neatest/ easily accessible places on the railroad. Scooting across Trail Lake and wedge between mountains the classic EMD's and matching passenger consist look killer.

Nights like this pictures are nothing but pure miseries as a conductor. Chessie System painted caboose 904016 is lit up by CSX job D700 just going on duty and leaving out the other end of the mickey mouse tracks to start their night. As you can tell the rain is just slamming everything and bouncing up especially off of the top of the caboose. That puddle on the ground wasn't there 5 minutes before hand and was well over the tops of my boots.

Early afternoon on Black Friday I found out that the 1982 was on the point of CP244 heading for the Wabash and into Canada unfortunately I was on my way to work so I figured nope not worth it. After plotting it out and texting the wife, we decided we would meet and book it for the Wabash to try and light it up as soon as I got out of work. Unfortunately 244 screamed across the NS making it to Detroit from Elkhart in almost 4 hours flat. Getting constant location up dates I knew i was screwed for anything west of Oakwood Junction in Detroit so that's where I set up for shot one which was very boring and lame. I decided screw it we're gonna light it up passing the very recently closed Delray tower. Just before 7am Conrail finally accepted the train and is seen rolling past Delray tower, once it arrived into Windsor it became a trail fail for the trip east. In under a week I put on 1600 miles between work, UP 1111, 1982 and CN 8952(GTW) I think its time for a brief break.
