The sun is setting, the snowy glade is softly lit by a pink glow, and woodchucks find romance.

"Beachside Dive Bar" by Teddi Beres
Trade winds painted your skin
into a washed out vacation canvas
ocean spray adding texture
regret sliding down your throat
burning in your stomach
like the neon in your eyes
and the sun, slanting through one window
bled into your bleached blond hair
and your sideburns
scorching the cars in the sandy lot
under wheeling seagulls
and tourists coming in from the shoreline
wash toward the dive's door
like the tide.
(Another random spot created by someone who later abandoned the land.)

there were whispers
that i, am nothing
but a scattered mosaic
shattered and sharp
a pile of pieces
that was until you
came along and sat
cross legged
took me piece by piece
and glued me back
together again
i am now nothing but
endless beauty
more beautiful
than any museum
in the world
for i am now, art
Shattered Beauty - Madeline Aug 2018
(This was an old yard and old build, but I still think it's one of the prettiest front yards I've seen in SL.)

A thousand Christmas trees I didn’t know I had!
Worth three cents more to give away than sell,
As may be shown by a simple calculation.
Too bad I couldn’t lay one in a letter.
I can’t help wishing I could send you one,
In wishing you herewith a Merry Christmas.
