Stood in the middle of a frozen lake with 1-2m thick ice, the cracking from movement of this ice resonated up through the valley and beneath our feet........an eerie sound in the dead of night, but well worth it for the shot and a clean view of this light-show. The surrounding landscape was partially lit by some weak moonlight.
Returning in January.....can't wait!
