Continuing with my moonlit theme for now, this shot was taken just over the border in Northern Sweden just before midnight. With a hint of Aurora to add a little more interest, it's not the best composition ever, but I sort of like the contrast and fresh clean colour of the midnight sky against the snow.

Overheads
Ok, on a good turn-out, the Aurora Borealis can be seen filling the sky from the horizon in front of you to the horizon behind you, going straight over your head and at the same time literally taking your breath away. It's hard to shoot a good display because you just can't take your eyes of the dancing miracle the fills your world for those few minutes (or longer). When this happens it's virtually impossible to get it all in in one shot without very specialist kit. So this shot was taken lying on my back in the middle of a frozen lake in Norway pointing straight up into the abyss of Space. So I'm thinking...... the overheads of shooting specialst photography are massive but the rewards are mind blowing. This image, or any image in fact, will never replace or replicate what we saw on this special (and last) night in Norway. I can strongly recommend that you get the Aurora Borealis on your bucket list!......Tim Peak did! :)
Thanks for looking.
