“We all know what the ‘bad and sad’ news is each day. We are bombarded with it. All too aware of it. Why would I want to repeat/share this?”

To counteract this, I am setting out to create nothing but images that are filled with beauty and lots of vibrant colour!
And share them with the world in 2018 and beyond.

“I prefer to sprinkle some beauty, goodness, kindness and joy. We all need it. And I do it in colour. I perfected my lighting over the years with flowers as my main subject matter, now in this project, I try and make the mundane into the extraordinary.”

Colours photographed under natural sunlight may appear different when seen under the light from a tungsten light-bulb, darker and more orange.

“I am fascinated by how light and the colour of an object can affect how one perceives an object's position. If light or shadow, or the colour of the object, masks an object's true outline, it can appear to be shaped differently than it really is.

Carl Jung pioneered the stages of colour psychology. He was interested in the properties of colour and their meanings, as well as in their potential as a tool for psychotherapy.

Colour has been used to create a sense of cosiness or spaciousness. People are affected by different colour-stimuli but this varies from person to person.

However, research shows that colour preference may depend on ambient temperature.
People who are cold prefer warm colours, yellow, orange and red.
People who feel hot may prefer colder colours like purple, blue and green.”
