DCR Class 60 No. 60055 crosses Bassaleg viaduct working the 6Z53 East Usk Junction – Machen quarry VSTP. The viaduct, which is a listed building, is reported to be the only surviving engineering work of the Rumney Tramroad and probably the world's oldest railway bridge dating back to 1824. It was taken over by the Brecon & Merthyr Railway in 1863. Inspired from a shot taken by Carl Brunnock a.k.a. “The Cwmbran Creature” - www.flickr.com/photos/47500cdb/
